Platypus:your LED TV is good enough
Plasma fans assiciation deenini teevramga khandisthunnam Don't say you don't have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michaelangelo, Mother Teresea, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein |

IMAX version choosaanu. Wow experience truly. The stunts and the visuals are mind-numbing. The best shot of the movie is not the Dubai episode but happens right in the first 30 seconds of the movie - A man running on the terrace and shooting people. It ends quite lamely as the man, supposedly an expert agent, inexplicably lets his guard down and becomes minced meat in a fraction of a second. But yeah, it has already raised the bar so high that you are on the edge of your seat, waiting for the bar to be raised even higher. And not until you walk out of the movies that you realize that the bar does not even reach that initial level throughout the movie. While MI3 has been the spectacularly disastrous episode in the franchise, MI4 rates somewhere close but probably not so bad. The script is predictable, cliche ridden and full of groan-worthy punch lines. The action sequences look gorgeous on the IMAX screen but defy logic left, right and center. Include top, bottom and middle as well. There is not an iota of realism in the movie. The technology is atrocious even after accounting for cinematic liberty. Consider this for an example. A man walks into Kremlin with a fake badge. An associate drops a transmitter device into the compound of Kremlin. By the time the man walks into a security check, the transmitter has already wirelessly infiltrated the Kremlin employee database somehow sitting inside a dimly lit chute and entered the man's details into the database. Groan, yawn, throw your hands up in despair OR just wonder at the marvelous nature of the technology. Your wish. But whatever you decide, make sure the same yard stick is followed even for the Indian movies. 5 out of 5 for the visuals. 2 out of 5 for the story. If you have access to the IMAX version of the movie, please do go and watch it. Otherwise, your LED TV is good enough for the experience. dEvO mahEsh roopENa: Superstar Mahesh Rocks! |
