TUDA Chairman Post For Chiru?
Has the Congress high command proposed to make Praja Rajyam Party president and Tirupati MLA as the chairman of Tirupati Urban Development Authority, as a consolation gesture?
Well, that is what former TUDA chairman Chevireddy Bhaskara Reddy says.
According to him, Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy and Pradesh Congress Committee president Botsa Satyanarayana were not interested in the Central cabinet berth to Chiranjeevi, as it would result in by-elections to Tirupati assembly seat and the Congress party would have to face a humiliating defeat in the hands of the YSR Congress party.
At the same time, they cannot offer state cabinet berth to Chiranjeevi.
"According to our information, the Chief Minister had offered TUDA chairman post to Chiranjeevi, while retaining him as the MLA. If at all it is true, there is nothing more humiliating for him," Bhaskar Reddy said.
He also alleged that the Chief Minister had paid Rs 8 crore to Puthalapattu MLA P Ravi to shift his loyalty from YSR Congress party to the ruling Congress.
"There was a big conspiracy behind Ravi abstaining from the voting during the no-confidence motion," the former TUDA chairman said. |
