as i was watching, i was thinking the same. why is this not working! the reason i think is, the story is too abstract. remember the comparisons with god father? it is that "abstract" sense that runs through the story. but the average andhra viewer would not have seen god father, or has no previous exposure to the abstract themed action movies. where is the abstraction? the division between the hero and villain is not clear. one hand he is loyal, other hand he is torn to do the right stuff. he kills munna accidentally. that should have been used as a clean break from abstraction. they didn't. introducing a new antagonist sabasivudu murkied the waters even more. whole brahmam episode is forced. till the end, it was not "plainly apparent" what is the "real objective" for the hero. that makes it abstract. what actually surprised me was, this question i had in my mind as i watching. try to answer it, you will understand the problem. How did the director/screen writer narrate the story to the studio and hero. just narrate the story as if it is yet to be made. very hard. all opinions expressed are mine and only mine. not to be attributed to the other IP address sharers, my employer, or any other human, animal, robot or alien. | ||

- 2nd half in Hyd or some tier-11 city instead of Palasa OR bigger family for Sandhya. bottom line.....village has to be bright. it can not be gloomy like calcutta. If gloominess has to be maintained, then it should be set in urban environment - mamooty instead of jackie shroff - one mission succesfully accomplished by bhagawan and jai...to establish the power dynamics within the gang |
