 Fans clash at release of movie HYDERABAD: About 200 fans of actor-turned-politician Chiranjeevi got engaged in a scuffle with employees of Vyjayanthi theatre in Nacharam after they were denied tickets to the screening of Pavan Kalyan starrer 'Panja', which released on Friday. But that was not the only incident of fighting over the movie with reports coming in from the districts of clashes at theatres screening Kalyan's latest release. Nacharam police said that at around 11am, fans gathered in front of the theatre and demanded tickets for the movie. When the theatre authorities refused to hand out tickets for all of them, the fans entered into a mild altercation and reportedly roughed up a theatre staff. However, the matter was sorted out with the theatre management acceding to the fans' demand, Nacharam sub-inspector G Sudharshan said. In Vijayawada, Kalyan's fans clashed at several theatres with reports of at least 15 people getting injured in different incidents in Krishna district. Also, at least six people were injured at a theatre in Kankipadu over bulk sale of tickets for Panja almost a week ahead of its release.  |
