TIDB lo review raasadu.. ---------------------------------------------------------- Panja is one of the most matured attempt on the gangster genre that was never done before in TFI (if you ignore the ones made by RGV). A story about a Loyal warrior and his struggle with his conscience and the choices he made with his life. The movie remains honest to the genre and the script. The narration remains devoted to script as you can see there will be no forced comedy or songs just for the sake of filling the time. The characters are faithful to their characteristics.For eg, A bar dancer behaves like one in the whole movie and the girl next door remains like it till the end with out suddenly evolving into a whore just for the sake of songs. The movie has a killer sound track , beautiful camera work and clean performances. The Movie could have done with a little bit of good direction. Some of the scenes which could have been shocking comes across as just ok and they fail to draw any emotion from the audience and some of the action scenes which should have been pulsating fall flat. The blame for the latter should goto the action director as they chose guns for fights and except for PK no one in the whole movie knows how to handle them or shoot them. But this movie does one of the most important thing that it was supposed to do. It brings back the pawan kalyan , the entertainer whom I thought was dead. This is his resurrection. He rocked man. He charms like srk , he struggles like a saif, he emotes like kamal, he conveys pathos like guru dutt , he romances like ranbir, he speaks like a bachan, he dances (only for strictly one song) and fights like chiru and above all he entertains like Pawan Kalyan. This is his redemption and I have faith he is going to rock his fans and contribute more to the telugu films.And I would also dare to take a step and say PAWAN IS THE BEST ACTOR IN TOLLYWOOD as of now. Period. If you like a serious no nonsense clean cinema you can watch Panja once. If you like double entendres , pelvic thrusts , punch dialogues then u can skip the movie and go fck urself. |
