DR..only read the first post...was reminded of this story..... Maybe Yes...Maybe No There is a Buddhist story about an old farmer whose only horse ran away. That evening the neighbors gathered to commiserate with him on his bad luck. "Your farm will suffer, and you cannot plow," they said. "What a terrible thing that happened to you." And the farmer replied: "Maybe yes, maybe no." The next day the horse returned bringing with it six wild horses. Upon learning of this, the neighbors came to congratulate him on his good fortune. "You are richer than you were before!" they said. "What a wonderful thing. You are truly blessed". The farmer again replied: "Maybe yes, maybe no." The following day the farmer’s son tried to ride one of the wild horses. He was promptly thrown breaking his leg and leaving him unable to work on the farm. Again the neighbors came to offer their sympathy remarking: "There is more work than you can handle. You will have to leave your farm. What a terrible misfortune." To which the farmer replied: "Maybe yes, maybe no." The following day, conscription officers came to the village to seize young men for the army. When they arrived at the old farmer's home and saw his son's broken leg they rejected him. When the neighbors heard of this, they exclaimed: "How fortunate! Things have worked out after all. Most young men never return alive from the war. Surely this is the best of fortunes for you!" And the old farmer simply replied: "Maybe yes, maybe no." … I believe this story contains two important lessons. First is that things are not always as they seem. For example, a co-worker, friend or significant other acts in a way that you find hurtful. Did they mean to hurt you? “Maybe yes, maybe no.” Of course they could have said to themselves: “Oh good, there’s Jane. I think I will single her out for a special insult!” On the other hand they could be reeling from an issue that has nothing to do with you (it reality never is). The emotional distress they are feeling is leaking over to you. When you experience these perceived sleights, dismissals and hurts remember the farmer’s words: “maybe yes, maybe no.” Step into the other person’s shoes and ask yourself two questions: “What must this person be feeling to react in this manner?” And: “What buttons are pushed within me?” When you think about it, if you are confident and comfortable with who you are, this would not be an issue. The second lesson is to not hold too tightly to the ups and downs of life. Things will change. Life has a rhythm to it. What goes up will go down and visa versa. This is not to say that you shouldn't enjoy the gifts of life. You should. Likewise you must realize that life will also bring pain and disappointment. This too you must endure. However, like the joys in life, pain will also subside over time. Nothing lasts forever. | ||

I would say just lead life the way u want Based on urs status circumstances choose The best wat u want for its more practical to any human Some says place where u r living I. e.
