Yes, I am a hypocrite and proud to be one  When other ethnicities or religions are growing in large numbers around me, I feel threatened. This is pure animal instinct, to protect one's territory and kin. Fair/Unfair does not have any meaning in this fight for survival and self-improvement. If a turak family moves close to our home in India, I will try to mingle with them. But, if they move in very large numbers and I am the only Hindu left, I feel threatened and close my doors. Apply the same logic here in US for white americans. On the other hand, I don't know what the fuss is about the rest of the world. Most of the Indian and Chinese guys applying for GC are already here and already working. So, they are just hoping that these guys would run back to their home countries if GC is delayed. Just come to the Silicon Valley, CA to see it yourself, especially visiting the Networking giant so called "American" companies, Once you're in their San Jose campus, you realized many other ethnic group are vanishing with mostly Indian full time and contracting workers remained in their main campus. When I browsed the company organizational tree, from middle to senior management are Indian. Reason? they like to hire their own friends and relatives for key positions. Now this kind of culture extended to worker bee position like programmer and QA testing roles. The notion of companies cannot find talents locally are BS. They were not given any chance and were eliminated probably during the first round of interview because some of the interviewers wanted their cousin to get the job instead. So, I wouldn't be surprised our kids do not see any future going into computer sciences unless they're Indian decent. Just come to the valley and see it yourself, you will feel like you've been beam to Bangalore India instead in the U.S. soil. I was once working in a vastly culturally diversified company but they're harder and harder to find these days. I don't hate Indian, but I am very pessimistic about our kids future to compete in the field of science and technologies. Our people and kids should be given the "Fairness Act" instead as our first priority. An idea is like a Virus. | ||
