At last, realization seems to have dawned upon megastar-turned-politician Chiranjeevi about the wicked and crooked politics of the Congress party. Chiranjeevi could not hide his anguish over the way the Congress party and its leadership has been treating him and his group MLAs ever since they merged their Praja Rajyam Party with the Congress. âWe are being treated as âgaddi pochaluâ (strains of grass) by the Congress party leadership. The Kiran Kumar Reddy government is surviving only because of our MLAs, but the government is not bothering to take our group MLAs into confidence while taking up developmental works in our constituencies,â Chiranjeevi told the media in an informal chat in the assembly lobbies. He expressed anguish that Chief Minister N Kiran Kumar Reddy was giving more importance to the Jaganmohan Reddy group MLAs and was offering them developmental works in their constituencies. âOn the other hand, when our MLAs go to him, he is least bothered. He is taking our support for granted. Unfortunately, even the high command has not been taking care of our interests after the merger of the PRP with the Congress,â he said. Though it was an off-the-record conversation, Chiranjeevi knows that it would definitely be highlighted in the media and stir the government, at a time when the no-confidence motion is staring at them. | ||
