I would suggest getting out of SBI. The CAR has become quite low of late and because of this they have to go slow on credit. They can increase the CAR either through government infusing fresh equity, but the GoI does not have funds to invest because of the tough deficit situation. And to go the market is not ripe because of adverse market conditions. They were even downgraded by Moody's recently. On a fundamental basis - the Indian market scene is quite scary, i would be wary and try to move into debt funds rather than get into equity at this time. | ||
