Special judge for CBI cases B. Naga Maruthi Sharma, on Wednesday directed the CBI to furnish copies of all the documents sought for by income-tax department officials at the cost of the petitioners in the Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy and Emaar cases. Counsels of both Mr Jagan Reddy and Emaar opposed the order, stating that I-T officials are not entitled to the papers. The income-tax department from Bengaluru and AP had filed separate petitions in the court seeking soft copies of all documents seized in Jagan’s disproportionate assets case and Emaar-APIIC scam for completing assessment proceedings. The I-T department said Mr Jagan Reddy was not responding to notices and reminders sent to him.
