House Judiciary Committee passes H.R.3012 bill with broad bipartisan support

We are very excited to share the success for bill H.R 3012 - Fairness for High-Skilled Immigrants Act. Last Thursday, the bill to eliminate per-country limits passed the House Judiciary Committee with the unanimous voice vote. It’s particularly heartening that Congressman Jason Chaffetz’s bill received such broad support from both Republicans and Democrats on the Committee. We’re grateful for the leadership shown by Congressman Chaffetz and the bill’s cosponsors, Chairman Lamar Smith (R-CA), Congresswoman Zoe Lofgren (D-CA) and Congressman Tim Griffin (R-AR).

All this means that when critics and pundits dismissed H.R. 3012, your support made the real difference in inching this bill towards becoming a law. This is a most significant step forward for eliminating high skilled green card backlogs which will invoke entrepreneurship for creating more jobs in America.

In the next step, H.R. 3012 is soon expected to be voted on the House floor, followed by vote in the Senate. The opposition is gearing up to disrupt our bill. We cannot let this happen, not this time, not now. It’s time for all high-skilled immigrants to say in one clear voice that we seek fairness and justice from decades of green card backlogs.
