I have seen L&T engineers around 25 people with 3-4 lengthy Temp Sheds built and started working and you people wrtie these kind of rubbish,,,,, around 175 Acres is given to L&T near Uppal endi vaaa .....there are still better companies who can get us lighter faster trains cheaper than L &T Bhu Bakaasura plan HYDERABAD: The elevated metro rail project for the capital received the first tranche of land required for constructing one of its key depot stations with the government issuing orders approving allotment of 104 acres to the Hyderabad Metro Rail Limited (HMR) at Nagole. The agency will be paying Rs. 25 lakh per acre to the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA) and land owners who had agreed for the land acquisition will be given 1,000 sq.yards developed plots per acre at Uppal Bhagath and Ramanathapur Bhagat villages, official orders said. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB) too have been allotted 150 acres for Musi River Conservation and River Front Development. It too will pay the same price. Principal Secretary of Municipal Administration & Urban Development Department T.S. Appa Rao in his orders issued on Saturday explained that the HMDA had originally developed a comprehensive scheme involving various departments for development of River Musi and 828.25 acres was acquired at these two villages. Some of the affected land holders approached the courts and obtained stay orders. But, later during a meeting held by the HMDA Commissioner last year with the affected land holders and public representatives, the farmers agreed to take 1,000 sq.yards developed plots in lieu of land compensation and also agreed to withdraw the writ petitions. Cost sharing The cost of developing land and layouts will be shared in proportion to the allotted lands by the HMR and HMWSSB, said Mr. Rao The land at Nagole, another 104 acres in Miyapur (in the court classified as âenemy property') and 21 acres in Falaknuma will be fulfilling its depot and maintenance need. Land required In all, HMR requires 269 acres of which 212 acres are for the three depots and 57 acres for parking and circulating areas for the stations. Metro rail is being built across the three routes of Miyapur-L.B.Nagar (29.87 km), Jubilee Bus Station to Falaknuma (14.78 km) and Nagole to Shilparamam (26.51 km) for a total of 71.16 km with 66 stations.

Larsen & Toubro Ltd., due to build and run a railway in the Indian city of Hyderabad, said it may have to âre-lookâ at the viability of the 141.3 billion-rupee ($2.8 billion) project because of hold-ups in acquiring land. âIf there is further delay, then we will ask for more timeâ in the 35-year concession, V.B. Gadgil, head of the L&T unit overseeing the project, said in an Oct. 20 interview in Hyderabad. âBut, if the government says we canât do anything about it, then we would have to re-look at the viability of the project.â He declined to say if Mumbai-based L&T would consider quitting the railway. âIf we donât get the land, then definitely the project will be delayed,â said Gadgil, the chief executive and managing director of L&T Metro Rail (Hyderabad) Ltd. âThe government says they are trying their best, but there is no definite timeline.â Delays will be unavoidable if land issues arenât resolved within about a month as the company has been unable to order railcars and other equipment because of uncertainty about the opening date, he said. http://www.businessweek.com/news/2011-10-25/l-t-may-re-look- at-2-8-billion-india-rail-on-land-delays.html Jai NTR, Jai Jai TDP |
