hope they will do something with that pile. something big. some ideas: 1) Use about 20Bn to buyback. At forward P/E of 9, it is the most attractive investment 2) Buy a big company with synergy. My suggestion is AMZN, if it works out. Sounds crazy but they are a great fit. You can merge Apple Store + Amazon Retail. You can merge AWS and iCloud. You can merge Kindle into the apple devices. Make Jeff Bezos Chairman of the Board or joint CEO but Tim Cook s/b the CEO. Here is the math: Split apple into 1:2, and give 1 apple share for each amazon share, and give $50 to $100 cash for each amazon share. That should cost about 15Bn to 25Bn. Both companies are like chalk and cheese now, so no regulatory issues hopefully. jointly, they will become the greatest company ever. |

street expected 8.43, they came in around 7.05 after guiding 5.50 the problem for apple is ever increasing expectations. so, they have to reset the expectations. they have done it. like Google did the prev quarter. |
