KM, I couldn't get sleep last night because of this. Either this is a joke or it is serious. If it is a joke, try to make joke on yourself and make other laugh. Not by making a joke on others, esp. in nagative light. If this is serious, that means, for some reason you keep an on my life either for work or fun. do not do your job in a forum. last time I was at (not in) B&N was when I was giving driving lessons to my kid, she was driving, I was in the car. She parked and went inside to check for a book while I was sitting in the car. I am not sure what is unnoble about this. my current nightmare is about all things "date". I write a lot of SQL in job for Data Warehousing, Web Apps, and every thing I do is on Database. So, most of the time I use: getDate() - well, to get the date! date-time functions - when you ahem a date and get into trouble. so, i did a bunch of googling for date-time functions a few days back, and a few nervous ladies have started running around talking about "consent" problems in the system. finally this takes the cake: I had to include a date library for date handling in a jsp page, called "date.js". ready? I have a classmate from Warangal called "J". We call him, J. That evening J's son calls me for the first time since he came to the USA a year ago! Holy Crap, I thought. another one:- We have both Production and QA systems at work. As a best practice, I keep the passwords separate, and the QA password starts with 'qa'. I just changed the qa password recently. The same day one guys asks me here in this forum, "Are you a Quality Analyst". that's all last few days.. | ||

Ekb, Genius avasaram ledu daniki and you are right I did not go to the machine code level... But I did recall the direction of movement of hangers to find clothes , the exact seconds used to reheat kids milk and the repetitions ,picking and switching mugs for milk the driving missteps etc... The workday was very easy to do as my work involves interaction and easier to remember than solo activity ... So here's my explanation of why I did not find it difficult. - chinnappuudu garbage in garbage out concept chadivamu retrieval is easy when you put things in well and it is not cluttered. There was a time when I was a zoning out and would wonder what I did all day - so started watching it to trim waste when you watch, you are aware with all your senses of what you are doing at the moment - you are not acting mechanically , every action is associated with an emotion or sensory experience the age old 'living in the moment' or 'be here now' Though the intent is not to recall, you might recognize the above as the oldest memory trick in the world - "connect things to remember random sequences" I remember the direction of hanger movement as I remember the thoughts associated with it....You might want to try it if you have not and the exercise will become easier - the more you attach emotion/ senses to it the more you will remember - though I do not see the point of wasting 2 hours to relive your day when you could be living those two hours imbibing new experiences As to aa chal ke tujhe main leke chalu ik aise gagan ke tale jahan gam bhi na ho, aansoo bhi na ho,bas pyaar hi pyaar pale | ||

Today's superstition story- a few weeks back I made a post here on Oxford Comma, and then we talked about Grammar, and Wren and Martin. Then the next weekend I go to the groceries. Anand, either you are a genius, or you are not doing it right. If you recall an 8 hour day, every single event, it takes a couple of hours. Like for example did you recall how exactly you ate your breakfast? First I open the cupboard, take the bowl (which one, cream or white), keep it on the table, then pick the cereal box (which one cheerios or the raisin bran), then put the cereal, then put milk (soy or skim) etc.. It's almost like the machine code for an imaginary robot, if you have to make the robot repeat every thing you have done that day. I usually fall asleep before I make it to the breakfast bowl :-) This is how the Soviet Chess Grandmasters train their mind to recall every move of every match they ever played. Anyway, if you are able to do it so effortlessly, you are probably a genius. pat yourself on the back. | ||

Howmany of you use Git for Source Code control? It has a "sync" command. I use it to sync my repositories to dropbox (remote repo). Nowadays what I notice, everynight I sync, next day stock market is "sinking" like today. So, guys, if you want the stock market up, you know what to do - just send me a check not to "sync". |
