We would like to thank you for your order of an HP Touchpad. We wanted to provide everyone with a recap of events and an update on the current status.

As you may be aware, CostCentral as well as many other online retailers, had tens of thousands of HP Touchpads reserved at HP and their distributors, ready for shipment. Late Sunday night we received orders for over ten thousand Touchpads in just a few hours. On Monday morning when we arrived, we discovered that HP had decided to withhold the stock reserved for us and told our distributors to hold all the stock in their warehouses.

HP then began releasing stock to us in increments. At first a few thousand TouchPads and then releasing stock less frequently and in smaller and smaller quantities. This is why we are not able to say or estimate when we will be able to ship your order. We have been, and currently are, continuing to ship HP Touchpad orders as we receive our stock from HP.

We are continuing to pressure HP to release our stock that was reserved and promised to us. Once we receive more information from HP, we will share this with all our customers.

Your order will not be charged until it is ready for shipment and if you wish to cancel your order you may click on this link to cancel any time prior to shipment.

We appreciate your business and your patience.

Common Questions and Answers:

Q: If I call or email your customer service can they provide additional information?
A: Unfortunately no. When HP actually provides us with additional information we will notify customers.

Q: Where am I in 'line?'
A: Customer service is unable to tell you were you are in the queue.

Q: Can you tell me when I will receive my order, even an estimate?
A: Since HP can't tell us when or how many Touchpads we will receive, we cannot provide an ETA on your order.

Q: When I placed my order, your website indicated you had xxxx number in stock, was that true?
A: Yes. We had over 10000 reserved and ready for shipment. HP instructed their warehouse and our distributor's warehouse to hold stock.
