iphone is the standard....this is what i thought until i upgraded my iphone 3gs to samsung S2.....not like to like comparsion....i know... but very happy with this S2......sleek...great batery time....and light compared to iphone..... S2 seems to be the best bet to counter iphone...... with S2 it is the other way around....Samsung have raised the standard.....interesting to see how apple would match or follow..... HF .. having an open platform where others can contribute as well is the inthing .. closed platforms and systems dont cater to wider audience .. like u will never be able to count how many people working on linxu ... similar u cant count how many people are writing apps for android ... there was a saying that all the script writers and story tellers have becomer android programmers now ... sky is the limit for android in terms of usablity and adaption .. of course iPhone is a cut above when it comes to looks and user expr ... but more people are interested in developings apps on android these days | ||

Every new phone comes into the market wants to be an iPhone....if Apple wasnt there, we still would have had Nokia n series m series or god only knows series in our hands ...which would have been bulky and robust.... Its apple (or rather Jobs) which has set a bench mark on how a phone or tablet or OS should be... Be thankful and pay respects.... I heard atleast 50 phones being released from HTC or Motorola or Samsung or Blackberry coming out with a tag line of "iPhone Killer" and faded out soon...count the days for S or S2 or S3.... keeping aside iPhone, what really boggles my mind is: Apple shipped more iMac (desktop) & macBooks (notebooks) than Dell, Lenovo, HP or Acer. Officially, last quarter, apple is the largest computer vendor. OSX market share is 23% if you count iPads. Steve Jobs must have died a happy man! | ||

I don't. but reportedly, all three carriers and apple itself sold out the first batch of 1M phone within 24 hours. apparently, 4S contributes $400 to the profit, because the carrier pays ahead for the plan or something like that. also, Sprint paid 20Bn (rumor) to get the iPhone deal. BTW, I am not putting samsung down, I never used one. it may be a great phone. all I am saying is iPhone is great. But I think Siri will blow the competition out of water. | ||
