To me his biggest innovation was in the thought and perception of computers themselves. The ability to look at a math, technology, logic oriented product and envision a product everyone could use and play with - make right-brain product appeal to the left brain and emotions, take the fear of technical products out and make them easy to use , playful- was his differentiator  As he himself said in a very old interview , Apple brought the creative liberal arts angle to computers.Picture,icons, graphical user interface instead of keystroke sequences...Artistic fonts, layouts to design your computer outputs - were his brainchildren I don't think you are old enought to have used Wordstar - if you have , you will know how the world of computers and software was given a whole new direction by Apple This morning someone was talking about the influence of Steve Jobs on product design, and put it very succintly...
