he won the highest number of acting nominations/awards in oscars.. so i don't get the discrimination funda! real life mafia families are of italian origin kabatti, those movies/books are primarily from italian-americans and in that genre italian-american stars would naturally get preference for authenticity.. saw chinatown yday.. highly acclaimed etc etc.. but it's kinda slow for my taste.. liked faye dunaway and the background score.. But the established actors like brando/de niro/pacino 70's nundi narukkuntaa ostunnaru kadaa.. aa time italians ante respett undedi baagaa.. and irish decent or regular white folks ki stand-out name raaledemo ani naa feeling.. mafia related ante italian decent undaalsinde anukuntaa.. this is my hypothesis as I am not that knowledgeable with hollywood.. jsut an observation. I felt Jack probably in top 20 of all time greats. After watching 'About Schmidt' I feel he should be in top 5. Awesome movie with fantastic acting by jack. If jack's last name ended in an vowel, he would have got the seeding he deserved. I feel his greatness is totally underrated. In this db, there's always someone watching you!! |
