Venkateswarlu:

They are the ones who started the party isnt it?

ya it is not a private ltd company. i don't know what the Indian constitution says about political parties but those who treat them as family properties and those who support them have to be hypocrites. most of the party members who support that system do so because they want to be in the good books of the family for their own benefit

Applying the same to CCDB: Telangana mods belong to Telangana, N mods belong to N fraternity.

good job JP
Telangana bhavan belongs to KCR family
NTR bhavan belongs to N family
In a true democracy things like that don't happen
Party offices and leadership should be open to people
What we have is family feudalism in the name of political parties

In an interesting decision, Lok Satta president and former bureaucrat Dr Jayaprakash Narayan on Saturday announced that he would not contest as president of the party' state unit again.

JP told the media that he had taken the decision only to demonstrate that the Lok Satta Party did not revolve round certain individuals. "It is not abdication; it is empowerment," he said. The Lok Satta Party is celebrating its fifth anniversary at Ongole on October 8 and 9.

JP, however, said he would continue to be the party's national president, while a new person would be elected as State unit president. "I will continue to be the State unit's friend, philosopher and guide," he said.

Dr. JP said that the Lok Satta Party has succeeded in providing a platform for pursuing clean politics. Its strong agenda and leadership's commitment have earned recognition and respect from large sections of people. Lok Satta's consistent efforts have begun to bear fruit, he said.

Despite its many successes, Dr. JP said, the party is yet to be fully structured on democratic lines because of the 'slave culture' promoted by traditional parties in the polity. He is, however, happy to note that people who have shunned politics for decades are now taking interest. The Lok Satta Party needs people who can spare their time and talent for building it up.
