Cocanada, Sounds like an interesting plot  Teluguhero, Meeru cheppindi correct but think thru why it is so Simplistic analogy would be the Gas laws - decrease in pressure increases volume , ie distance between molecules Unity is inversely proportional to freedom/safety and directly proportional to perceived common threat Reduction of stakes in a common purpose/ threat - reduces need to find unity with a larger community and the innate human social need of belonging is satisfied in smaller units. Base storyline: Vasco Da Gama comes to India with the help of a Gujarati sailor. He is seen as a hero in Europe for discovering (wrongly credited to him) sea route to India Initially, he and his crew were welcome. But his crew were mostly bandits back in Portugal. So, they resort to petty crimes in India. Vasco goes back to Portugal. When he returns, he brings his army to conquer part of Kerala and set up ports in Cochin, Calicut, Laksha Dweep etc. He also takes a ship filled with Indians travelling to Mecca as hostage and kills them all. The locals revolt. But they are suppressed. Gradually the kings of India start submitting to Vasco owing to his strength of Canons and guns. But one boy (whose father was killed by Vasco) plans to kill him and drive portugese away. Urumi is his story (based on true facts). | ||
