The Edison police department has arrested Suresh Mandarapu, a Edison, New Jersey resident on charges of procession and distribution of copyrighted content related to the movie Dookudu. Mr. Harris, the attorney representing the producers in the USA said that Mr.Mandarapu uploaded Dookudu songs on to the web and multiple requests sent to him to remove the links were ignored. He said that they have setup Anti-Piracy teams across 12 major US cities and are seeking help of local police authorities across the US. Suresh Mandarapu, faces upto 5 years imprisonment and damages of up to $ 500,000 .This is the first time an arrest has been made in the USA for copyright infringement of a telugu movie. The producers of this movie announced last week that they will take any necessary step to prevent the piracy movie. They have already secured a John Doe court order and setup hotlines and private detectives to stop the piracy of the movie. | ||
