Worse.. It lives under red snappers' tongues, and takes in the food, while the fish's tongue shrivels up. Then the tongue disappears, and the Cymothoa takes the place of the tongue. So basically, the fish takes in the Cymothoa's waste. And, to top it all off, it looks like it has a face. | ||

one of the strangest things i heard. what is so bad about it ? The parasite then replaces the fish's tongue by attaching its own body to the muscles of the tongue stub. The fish is able to use the parasite just like a normal tongue. | ||
