The much-hyped release of Mahesh Babu-starrer âDookuduâ had to feel the heat of the Telangana movement on Day 1 itself. The film faced the wrath of the Telangana activists at several places in Hyderabad and Ranga Reddy districts, particularly at Tandur, Vikarabad, Shamshabad and Parigi, besides Medak and Karimnagar districts. The Telangana activists tore the posters, pulled down the cut-outs and locked up the gates of theatres at several places, raising Jai Telangana slogans. They vowed that they would not allow screening of the film belonging to Seemandhra actors and artistes. At many places, the theatre managements had to call the police to quell the mob.
