PM Refuses To Give 'Odarpu' To Jagan The Prime Minister Manmohan Singh has refused to give any assurance of protection to YSR Congress Party President Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy in the light of the ongoing CBI investigation into the alleged illegal assets case. Jagan, who is in Delhi on a mission to meet as many leaders as possible to explain his position vis-Ã -vis the CBI case, called on the Prime Minister at the Parliament on Thursday. During the course of the conversation, Jagan was understood to have referred to the CBI probe and requested Singh to see that he was not harassed. However, the Prime Minister was said to be rather blunt and was in no mood to given the young MP any sense of comfort. The law will take its own course, the Prime Minister told Jagan. In a generalized comment, Singh said that his government would not resort to political vindictiveness against anybody. It was clearly a disappointing encounter for Jagan who was desperately looking for a honorable way out of the ongoing case. Earlier, the BJP leader Sushma Swaraj had declined to meet the Kadapa MP after he made it clear that his party would not align with BJP under any circumstances.
