Earthquake rocks Delhi, adjoining areas INDIATIMES NEWS NETWORK & AGENCIES Nov 26, 2007, 04.44am IST NEW DELHI: A minor earthquake rattled New Delhi and adjoining areas early on Monday morning, but there were no immediate reports of injuries or damage. An official with the Indian Meteorological Department, which monitors earthquakes, said the 4.3-magnitude quake struck at about 4:43 a.m. Besides the capital, the tremor was felt in surrounding areas such as Noida (UP), Faridabad and Gurgaon (both in Haryana). The epicentre of the tremor was at the Delhi-Haryana border at 28.6 N latitude and 77.9 E longitude. | ||

Earthquake in Delhi shakes north India ET Bureau Apr 5, 2011, 02.07am IST Tags:Seismology|Nuclear Power Corporation of India NEW DELHI: A moderate earthquake measuring 5.7 on the Richter scale rattled parts of north India on Monday evening. The quake's epicentre is located in Nepal, about 50 kilometres away from the country's border with Uttarakhand. The quake's depth itself is estimated at 10 km. At this time, while there were reports about tremors being felt in and around Delhi and further north in Uttarakhand, there is no report of damage. The control room of the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said that they had not received any reports till then about casualties or damage. An official at the NDMA's control room in Uttarakhand said: "News is still coming in from the districts. So far, there is no news of casualties or damage to property." | ||
