cool next time hang gliding try cheyyandi...it will be a more relaxed flight experience i did it at 5k feet...guide tho sollu vesthaa velli ravochu tandem guide will give you the glider controls ( which is nothing but balancing the glider with your body weight)...appudu aa height lo oka doughnut vesthay ....denekkaa...super untaadhee | ||

Dhookina first couple seconds emi jaruguthundi artham kaledu. After about 5 seconds, came to senses. Followed instructions and bent knees, opened arms. The free fall was amazing experience. You are not only floating in mid air, but coming down at incredible speed (acceleration: g). The wind is hitting so hard, body muscles look deformed. Oka 25 seconds lo 9000 to 3000 feet ki vacchamu, before the tandem jumper opened the parachute. The chute pulled us back so hard, the harness pressed the body really tight. It was like driving at 200 mph and suddenly slamming the brakes hard. Once the chute opened, you slow down and enjoy the view in mid air. He gave me the controls for the chute and I made few turns and spins in mid air. Landed safely in another 1.5 minutes at the same base where we took off. | ||

I did this with few friends. It was a good thrilling experience. It was a small plane (no seats) where 4 of us sat on the floor. Took 10 minutes to reach 9000 ft. The guide jumpers were very nice and humorous to keep us from nervous. Altitude reach ayyaka, sliding door open chesaru. That's it vatts pack. Cold air it us so hard, oka second mind pani cheyyaledu. After one final good buy kiss, wife and the jumper dove off. 30 seconds tarvatha, naa turn. We aligned in diving position and okka saari ga devudi gurthocchadu. It was our wedding anniversary and we were in a mood for little adventure. Already vacation lo unnam, so koncham research cheste, akkada skydiving unnadi ani telisindi. Call chesi appointment teesukunna. Already cheddam ani chala years ga anukunna, but wife is convincing me otherwise. She always says, we should have done before our child was born. I am like, the chances of anything going wrong is very minimal compared to driving on streets. If we can be strong mentally, we are fine. Ila sutthi kotti, wife ni oppincha. This is not solo, but tandem jump. Mana tho patu inko professional jumper (tied to our harness) untaadu. We flipped a coin to find who is going to jump first. Fortune said wife will go first. My daughter (8) was so excited that she is ready with camera at the base to take pictures. We were given instructions as what to do in air and blah blah. Scariest part was to read a 10 page consent form/contract and sign on each item. Each line saduvuthoo unte, ippudu jump cheyyadam avasaramaa ani doubt vastundi  continue.... |
