YSR Congress party president Y S Jaganmohan Reddy may be very firm on his stand to take the Congress party by its horns and very stubborn in taking the battle into the people, but the MLAs supporting him are not as confident as he is. Though 29 MLAs have resigned from their assembly seats and the primary membership of the Congress party, many of them are not confident of their political future. With Jagan playing his cards close to his chest, some of them are not sure whether they would get the YSR Congress party tickets to contest the by-elections. There is a talk going on within the party that Jagan would not go by the sacrifices in giving tickets. âHe is a practical man. For him, winning the seats is important and not the candidates. If he thinks the party would win the seat if the present candidate is replaced, he would do it without any hesitation,â a party source said. That is why some of the MLAs reportedly insisted that Jagan should give a written assurance to them that all those who resigned for him would be given tickets. Besides, they also want him to bear the entire election expenditure. Apparently, Jagan got furious with their demands. While promising that he would take care of their political future and financial needs, he refused to give any written undertaking for them. âThose who have faith in me and love towards my father can come with me.
