Kantri- Movie Review May 9, 2008 Film- Kantri Star Cast- NTR, Hansika, Tanisha, Prakash Raj, Ashish Vidhyarthi etc. Directed by- Meher Ramesh Music by- Mani Sharma Produced by- Aswini Dutt Released on- 9th May 2008 GOOD Story:- NTR (Kranthi) is an orphan, lives in Ashramam run by Kota Srinivas Rao (Daiva Sahayam) . Prakash Raj is the Don put up in Honking and runs illegal actives in India with help of his friend Ashish Vidhyarthi. KRanthi (NTR) joins hands with Prakash Raj's gang and impress the Don with in no time. Kranthi needs some money to help his friend on one occasion and approaches Ashish Vidhyarthi. But Ashish denies to support Kranthi . Kranthi gets angry and becomes Kantri, and forms his own Gang and accepts an offer to kill Prakash Raj. When both Prakash raj and NTR face each other to kill, Kota reveals a secret about Kantri to Prakash Raj. What is that secret and and how the story changes from then on wards is the rest of the story. Performance- NTR looks slim and energetic .His dancing skills must be appreciated. The overall performance of NTR is an high light of the film. One must appreciate his dancing skills and performance in action sequences. He looked more glamorous in this film, he is entirely different from his earlier films. Hansika- performance- no much to talk about. She scores average marks. Tanisha has nothing much to perform. Prakash Raj- again dictated the screen. Meher Ramesh-Though it is the first film for Meher Ramesh, he never allowed the audience to feel that the film is directed by first time director. Ramesh proved that he is the Shishya Poori Jagannath. Meher Ramesh couldn't follow his Guru Poori in inducing some laughs- the comedy is poor. Mani Sharma music is good and the way songs choreographed gets additional marks to the film.
