Even if we blindly ignore the NCDs offered by Muthoot finance, Mannappuram etc with interest rate 12.5 or 13%... there are still some reputable names who are offering good rates... like Tata motors offers 12% on 3-4 year NCD IndiaInfoline offers 12% there are some more... I never thought i would even spend a min considering fixed income products such as FDs/CDs/Bonds etc (Due to less ROI) I am now giving it a serious thought given the turbulence we continue to see in equity markets. Planning to diversify by keeping 10-15% in the conservative investment products. So would like to hear from you all who might have already done some kind of research on these areas. FDs in india are at 9.5 or 10 at present i guess. Not very attractive  So i am inclining towards NCDs (non-convertible debentures)... Right now rates are at 12 - 13% for these.
