Sorry andi - I do not study Steel, so no opinion. Among the non PM, I am a little familiar with Cu only. <plug> ABX is a good (Gold+Cu) play </plug>. if you want me to shoot the breeze: Steel highly correlates with global construction and automobile demand. auto demand in turn correlates with global gdp growth rate, which is not going to be great in near term, not withstanding india and china growth rates. as for construction, china, india are cooling their housing markets aggressively (rbi just raised the housing rates), and london olympics is not constructing much, so, that leaves the japanese tsunami as the only catalyst. but as a long term investment, MT is a great company to hang on.
