Chiru may not return to films. His much-hyped 150th film won't be happening, at least not in the next two years. Chiranjeevi himself revealed this at a press meet held in Tirupati. "I never said that I would do a film again, but only wished to honour the aspirations of my fans," he said. Chiranjeevi, who repeatedly said last year, that films and politics are his two eyes, underplayed his own statement, saying that he is now watching films for entertainment, just like any other movie lover. After the merger of the Praja Rajyam with the Congress party, Chiranjeevi is said to have come under immense pressure to bring back the lost glory to the Congress in the state, following the onslaught of the Jagan wave. Under these circumstances, it would to next to the impossible for Chiranjeevi to come back to films till the next assembly elections, a close associate of the actor-politician maintained. |
