i think 10% penalty is good if you are a GC/citizen yes you have to declare india income also.if you are working in India and paying taxes you don't have to pay taxes here on that income. just clarify with your CPA.. cherapakura chedevu. | ||

have 10k in trad IRA. no income this year as I moved back to India for good I know there is a penalty of 10% apart from that any other charges ? do I need to pay any tax when I file the returns next year do they issue checks or direct deposit is it true that next year when I file the returns I need to declare India income as well and pay tax accordingly? any dos and donts TIA |
