For word/powerpoint stuff, you need to install some apps and app store had too many to pick from anukuntaa.. xvid/avi ante.. I havent loaded onto ipad.. I have my video files on a server and then using 'Air Video' app, I play 'em on ipad. Seamless anuko.. Usually app store is the heart of ipad.. almost all solutions to any issue can be solved using apps..

As for me, forget about ipad.. not even macbook couldnt replace my dekstop.. Laptop can come close to dekstop but can never replace it.. tablets are good for ereading and during travel entertainment.. thats about it..

thats what I used to think too. My brother gifted me one and I use it for 90% of my computing needs. I think its about a 100 $ over priced but it has the apple backed quality and reliability that is hard to beat.

thx bro, this is the only reasonably priced android in India. battery life is a bit poor but has good support for with more USB ports to connect external memory, 3.2MP camera. I can adjust to it with that price

i desperately wanted to buy the adam because of the people that were behind it. But all the reivews Ive read point to a half baked product that was full of market leading ideas that werent implemented properly.

with that said, I would go for an an IPad2. They were the first in the market and they are the best.
If you have to go android then I would check the specs for battery life, usb ports, HD support, camera, memory and expansion.
