The much hyped movie ‘Veera’ which came in with huge expectations for this summer has ended up a stale treat. The worst hit area was the USA and now, reports say the film is standing next to Dasari Narayana Rao’s ‘Parama Veera Chakra’ in terms of disasters. According to reports, ‘Veera’ was bought for Rs 50 lakhs overseas and everyone bit the mud. The openings were disastrous with a collection report of a mere $ 20000 throughout USA during the first weekend. This is the next biggest loser after ‘PVC’. Apparently, even print and transport costs could not be recovered. While the producers have been riding high on the success of Ravi Teja’s two earlier movies ‘Mirapakaya’ ‘Don Seenu’, it is the distributors and exhibitors who are facing the heat due to huge losses. |
