Today, Google announced the launch of its free Music Beta service, which allows you to upload and store your music library online. (You must login to Google and request an invitation.) The library can then be accessed via browser or Android-based device, and select files can be locally cached for offline usage. Music Beta is compatible with iTunes files and playlists, the latter of which are automatically synced across devices. The service is free for a limited time and offers cloud storage for up to 20,000 songs. Android users will need to download the Music application to access Music Beta on their device.
