Ashton:But what I saw from my experience is that Quality matters a lot when you compare $40/hr guy and $100/hr guy..
US consulting companies charge min of $175ph to a max of $300ph. Daantlo atleast 50% of the consultants are fit for noting. They don't even add a value of 1/3 of their billing. So edo US based companies lo quality vuntundhi and desi companies lo vundadhu annadhi myth. It's subjective. |

Naaku oka project vachindi Tech Mahindra tho. Long term contract, consulting opportunity. They were not getting anyone to start in 2 weeks for the position and India lo H1/L1 mida raavataniki resources leru due to stamping etc issues. Interview ayindi, paper work cheyyali. Aa time lo billing rate beram modalupettaru, we cannot pay you this much adi idi ani. I told them I can go down $3 less. They said ok. Evening HR called. $20 thagginchukuntaava ani adigaadu. I said munde ee rate enduku matladaledu. Interview etc chesi na time enduku waste chesaaru. The reply I got was, you are a back-up for us. Maaku India lo resources evaru stamped leru, client needs someone asap. We are trying in India to get someone. Evaru dorkakapothe you might have to join. I told them, thank you for letting me know. I dont think am interested in the project since cant go down on billing. Secondly, billing ippudu ichina, you guys will continue to search in India and when you find someone, you are going to take me off. |

Nee badha ento ardham kaadu naaku. Evaranna vallani balavantham ga work cheyistunnara? It's mutual benefit. The main reason for outsourcing model is cost-benefits. So desi companies will have to quote less to get business. If these companies don't quote less, there will be no projects in India. Imagine such scenario, where hundred of thousands are graduating every year and literally no jobs. I think you are too pessimistic. We should all consider ourselves lucky to be here, but not that we are talented to be here. There are real gems of guys working for Indian companies. Ekkada sollu kaburlu cheppi gantaki $250 dobbe tellodu evvadu paniki raadu aa talents ki. Indian companies get lot of work done for $50. Obviously as in very business and company, there are loopholes. kaani avi pattukoni, generalize cheyyatam too bad. |

http://www.rediff.com/business/report/tcs-to-apply-for-1500- h1-b-visas/20110427.htm India's largest IT services provider Tata Consultancy Services will apply for 1,500 H1-B visas for 2011-12, clearly indicating robust growth in the US. "Last year I had said that we would be filing for 700 H1-B visas but ended up applying for 1,500. This year too, we will apply for 1,500 H1-B visas," The hike in H1-B visas also indicates that the company is winning new deals, for which projects initially need employees onsite. |
