My wife got a jury duty call. They asked to fill an enclosed juror qualification form and send ASAP. The form asks for around 6 questions including citizenship, age etc... If one does not qualify for any one of them then he/she must attend the jury duty. The last question is a little subjective...It asks if you can read and understand english. My can read and understand but she is not comfortable understanding american accent. So just want to check with folks here if she can say No to that question and get away with jury duty. Will it have any legal implications? If you have any jury duty experience please share your thoughts and suggestions. |
