CPA - Certified Public Accountant is lincesed differently in different states in US. Although most of the requirements are same, few states have different standards. First step, select the state you want to get licensed/ or want to take exam for. Second, check the eligibility to take the exam, konni states lo Masters or equivalent degree in Accounting gives you eligibility, few states need that you should have completed required amount of credits in Accounting (financial, Cost & managerial), Audit, Business, Economics and so on. Once again it all depends on the state you choose. Third, as you said that the candidate holds a degree from India, then Credential evaluation should be done. State specified agencies untaayi .. most states accept World wide education services. Then, you can take the exam once approved by State Board. My suggestion would be try and get the eligibility, once you pass the CPA exam, jobs easy gaa vasthayi .. Public accounting firms like Grant Thorton,PWC,Deloitte,KPMG,Ernst & Young vallu H1's kooda chestaaru easy gaa .. Check states like Delaware, New Hampshire, I heard that these are states which are easy to get the eligibility. Not sure. Most of the states, need around 1000 hrs of work under a CPA for you to practise as a Public Accountant. But getting a job in public Accounting, audit,forensic investigation, Business Valuation would be easy if one passes CPA.. does nt have to go through the experience process. | ||
