For all SONY owners, I sincerely suggest buying an external Hard drive with SONY DIRECT COPY feature All you need to do is connect camcorder to the HD and it will dump in few mins. You dont need a computer j | ||

yes, but actually its not single file in reality. once the DVD is created it will have audio_ts, video_ts, .VOB files etc readable by any damn DVD player in the world. (but not in original MPG format anymore) 1. you just d/l all files to your computer 2. run the s/w you have (like windows movie maker) or any s/w. if you want to add titles, background music tracks, transformations all those fancy stuff they need to buy good video editing s/w. otherwise just to create a DVD, moviemaker is fine. 3. once you create a DVD it can be played on regular DVD player or computer anywhere. www.prajarajyam.org - The account has been suspended. | ||

so u say if i download or use some movie maker software i will be able to select all the files as a group and then record to my DVD as a single file? why the F... You need video editing s/w. Sony vegas is top but very costly. Try Nero or any simply windows movie maker which is Default & free s/w in windows. www.prajarajyam.org - The account has been suspended. | ||

I have SR11 Hard Disk based SONY camcorder and recording directly to the HDD. it is recording in .mpg format and breaking them into chunk of few files instead of continuously writing as one big file. Now if i want to make a DVD out of it and want to record the whole group of files as one big file and play on my DVD player or computer how to do it? TIA why the F...
