HYDERABAD: Serious differences have cropped up in the Telangana JAC between convenor M Kodandaram and the Telangana employee association with the latter scheduled to hold a meeting on Friday to decide whether to stay in the JAC or move out and wage an independent struggle for the creation of Telangana. According to sources, the differences cropped up between Kodandaram and the Telangana employees associations over the issue of calling off non-cooperation movement by the government employees on March 4. "The decision to call off the movement was taken at the JAC meeting presided over by Kodandaram on March 2. With the consent of the convenor, the employees called off the non-cooperation movement launched on February 17 after holding talks with the government on their demands. But subsequently, Kodandaram is giving the impression that he was not party to the decision," said an association leader. In the meantime, the Telangana employee association, which represents about three lakh employees belonging to the revenue, civil supplies, power, panchayat raj, rural development and commercial taxes departments, is also cut up with the convenor for not pulling up JAC partners Telangana teachers' associations, RTC employees and Singareni collieries workers associations for making the charge that the employee association leaders had called off the non-cooperation movement after getting kickbacks from the state government.
