i think what we mean by rhythm for a bowler is when the body and mind are both present on the ground and drive your game as two bulls would... sreesanth is a great example... he always appears to be fit on ground...but his mind is not focused...when it is...oka ashwell prince ...denemma emaina ball aa adhi same can be said abt shoaib, he can summon his predatory instincts anytime but his game flounders when he body is not responding like a v8 engine..example colombo spell against oz we tend to look at bowlers perf based on the number of runs they gave or wkts taken...but someimes the picture is little diff if you look at the way they bowled edho ila anukuntunna...ekkuva talk sethay oggeyandi | ||

raina for yousuf, raina does bowl but yousuf's bowling is more credible than raina. raina is closer to a part-timer and yousuf is closer to a full-time bowler, just keeping bowling in mind. despite the collapses, i still think srt/dhoni/kohli should handle the "holding one end up" role well-enough. kohli will fill up gambhir's role quite well and will not get wasted like he was in bangalore/nagpur. @rajusk : i have no idea if dhoni told them what their role was, but this was just commonsense. against steyn, who was on fire, why go for the flamboyant strokes? all the more so with a guy much better equipped to deal with it at the other end! that is true, but chasing in a WC final is no joke. Only one team has chased a 200+ target to win a WC. the thing with pak is, players like younis khan/afridi/razzaq (and most pakistanis in general) perform above potential in a match against india. also we got the pakistanis all 4 times in WCs, so law of averages might just have a say cruelly. this WC deserves a ind-pak knock out. the appetizers have been so fcuking good, it's time for the knockout matches to deliver a maincourse and dessert that will blow our senses away! to quote adidas " bring it on " What the executioner did after he was done with his job. i am thinking the same. as of now, i agree with qf match-ups legend has put up. (but they are far from final standings though) i would say semis will be ind vs sl in mohali and aus vs pakistan in colombo. that would give us and ICC the dream-final. ind VS pakistan in aamchi mumbai. That looks like the most likely scenario. The biggest incentive is for group A teams to finish 1/2. they will most likely get to play any 2 out of wi/eng/bang and avoid Ind/SA. Given the way the matches have gone, nothing is certain till the fat lady sings. another interesting point is that the Group A teams have not been battle-tested. while group B has been as close to a war-zone as cricket can ever get. i think that should mean Group B teams should win atleast 3 of the 4 quarters. my pick would be india/saf/eng. if england donot make it, then india/saf would be favourites to pull out the wins and bang/wi would be the less favoured teams. ironically, england who have always been disinterested in limited over formats have done surprisingly good in the global limited over matches. they won the t-20 WC, semi-finals in champions trophy and have added much needed entertainment for this format. i really hope they make the knock-outs. it will be a travesty of blue-whalish proportions if england get knocked out tomorrow.
