In USA , the frame work used for all public trading companies in reporting their financial results is USGAAP which stands for US generally accepted accounting principles.
But in other parts of world IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards) is the frame work acceptable for most public traded companies. There are very few countries that refrained from embracing this IFRS and USA is the largest among these.
There has been a dialogue about the necessity of US to embrace this IFRS frame work and finally the securities and exchange commission is going to pass a rule that makes all US public trading companies mandatory to change to IFRS.

So expecting this change already few firms have started this migration from US GAAP to IFRS and once the rule is passed this is going to be huuugggeeeee man.

And how does it help SAP consultants and consulting firms ???

Last b4 last friday I was in charlotte giviing a proposal for a big firm....
they said after my meeting they were meeting this IFRS guy who is going to pitch his proposal for migration...
SO I waited to meet that guy... lunch ki set chesi chinnaga adiga "Anna....etta undhanna compensation? ani....even b4 I complete my quecchin he said 200/hr....least it can go is 175/hr highest god knows....
and his firm specializes in this and they work on 4 or 5 clients presently...
so if ur in SAP and in accounting and if figure out this migration and market urself in next 5 years keka raccha kaminey...
