Hoping that you have a customizing task, you cannot combine 2 tasks in to one. sorry if i confused you earlier.
You can add different tasks to other TR but you will still have diff task numbers, they are never merged in to one task.

Do both tasks in one configuration; then split the configuration in half, save each half separately in TR and stitch them together.

so i think the only option is delete one task and do the other half config again and save under one task.///
This is the only option you have if the client is worriesd about no.of tasks created for each request.

or else as i said earlier reorganize the tasks in to the new transport request.

Then copy the task which is good and move it to a new transport and delete the other task...

u dint get my issue..there iss no good and bad here. rendu task lu good ee.. kani half config of one object is done in task A and other half config of the same object is done under task B.

so i think the only option is delete one task and do the other half config again and save under one task.

If you are working on the same object you cant create a 2nd task with your ID.
To change it to a new user right click on it and it will give you option to change owner.....Right click will give lot of options and you can play around

Next time when you want to add the changes done by you in the same task, first you should change the owner of the task from the previous user to yourself, then only u can add your changes to the task.

Now i dont know why you are not ok for having 2 tasks under one request, doesnt make any difference, you cannot club to tasks under different names in to one.
If you still want to have only one task number create a new request and and these tasks in to to the new task( how you do this? select the task and then utilities and reorganize- reorganize tasks.

basic ga start chedham..

se10 ki poyi oka TR creeate chesa..automatic ga kinda oka task create avutundi. i asigned that task to some one who wants to do config. he did only partial config.

tarvatha nenu velli full config chesa aa object lo and tried to save under that task. because that task is assigned to him, sap naaku oka different task number create cheesi naa half config andulo save chesindi.

so no under 1 TR there are two tasks. first task lo half config and 2nd task lo inko half config.
