KCR Puts Up Poor Show In Lok Sabha Telangana Rashtra Samithi president K Chandrasekhara Rao, who speaks at the top of his voice on Telangana statehood issue at all public places, could not even raise his voice in Lok Sabha, much to the disappointment of his supporters and party workers. At a time when the attention of Lok Saha was on the announcement made by Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh on the 2-G Spectrum scandal, KCR got up and went to the Speaker’s podium requesting her to give him an opportunity to speak on the issue of Telangana, stating that he had already issued a notice for an adjournment motion. However, Speaker Meira Kumar categorically told KCR that the adjournment motion notice was rejected and if he wanted, he could raise the issue during zero hour. Having no other option, KCR returned to his seat silently. People of Telangana who were watching the live telecast of Parliament proceedings were disappointed with KCR’s silence, as he boasted that he would storm the podium and stall the proceedings of Lok Sabha by staging a dharna if he was not given a chance to speak. However, he had no guts to do it. At least the Congress MPs were better when they raised slogans and displayed placards in the Central Hall of parliament when President Pratibha Patil was addressing the MPs. KCR later told the media that he would move the motion again on Wednesday.
