If not now when will they gain experience...teams like bangladesh, Zim (pre 2003) and SL (didnt play a test till 83) have started like this and made progress...it will take some time But the best way is to make these small teams play in the 20-20 which levels the playing field a little bit... also this long drawn format is a main reason why people are getting bored with big teams thrashing the 2007 WC format was the best one...minnows got chance to play in the first round and gain experience...the pathetic performance of india and pakistan and greed for money has made ICC hold this format and create an unnecessary number of matches with the associate teams | ||

It only takes one world cup for the transformation of minnows into a regular side....pre 83 India were minnows....pre 96 SL were minnows.....now Bangladesh looks minnows but recently they are ahead of Westindies in ICC rankings.....even in 2007 world cup Ireland played well anukunta....2003 lo kenya came to semis.....main ga minnows ki sponsorship undadhu facilities unadavu...fixtures undavu...mostly WC is the only time they get to prove themselves..... | ||
