Our CEO issued a blanket policy notice, stating that if you hire any staffing, they must come from Wipro or TCS; India outsource contractors. No American hiring allowed. As a result, I am receiving resumes from Americans that have excellent skills, but found that that the only way I can receive them, if they are sent by the applicants directly to me. Our HR department now sends only green card holders, H1 Visa applicants, all from Wipro and TCS, nothing else. Even if they offer to work for LESS than the relatively low OFFSHORE rates being paid to these outsource contractors (and yes, I have received notice of that intent by folks that want a job that badly that they're willing to work for those kind of wages), even if they have excellent job skills, they are off limits, I can't even talk to them. |
