naku telisi CPT thing whole discretion will be with University... They can give CPT from 1st day provided student gets an offer to work as an intern.. kakapothe practical ga workout avvadu.. ala workout aithe University can go ahead and give CPT from the start of first semester.... and koncham decent universities 9 months wait ani antai endukante.. if you work for more than 12 months on CPT you will be ineligible to take OPT..so 9 months ante rough ga 2 semesters aipothai kada... and most of the students will complete their MS degree in 4 semesters and then they can use that 2 semesters CPT and still be eligible for OPT... CPT ivannai internal to univesity.. and mostly consulting companies kooda oka CPT offer letter isthai kabatti.. universities will generally won't look that much into the issue.. I'm not in support of fraudulent universities.. but just making a point "You know how to whistle, don't you, Steve? You just put your lips together and blow." | ||

I agree with Kingrocks. Most of the students know that it is a fraud university, and they were trying to take advantage of it to work illegally in the US. It is unfortunate that the media in India portrays them as "victims". Here, both the university and the students committed fraud for mutual benefit. Hopefully, this will encourage only genuine candidates to come here on F1/H1. | ||

I don't know why people are making it a big issue. all these students knew that it was a Freud university. I was told 2 years ago by one of my friend from Andhra about this university. Most of the staffs and students are from Andhra. Facts behind the university- 1. They don't care whether we are enrolled in classes or not 2. After enrollment, we pay one installment fee (just $2700 as opposed to $45-50,000 normally) and later they don't ask for remaining amount. TVU hires many many agents (mainly commission based) in the whole India to recruit people who would like take advantage of F-1 visa but work full time at US using CPT (illegally). Those people do not have adequate financial resource to study in US but agents will work out all the paper work for them (fraudulently). When they get visa and enter into US, the agents will redirect them to some Indian consultancy companies instead of go to Tri-valley University. Those consultancy companies will give them offer letters and apply CPT from TVU remotely. After a brief training, consultancy companies will dispatch those people to the working places as full time workers. Most of them never see Tri-valley "University", never attend any class physically or on-line. They get arbitrary good grades, transcripts and eventually degrees. The apply OPT based on those degrees and continue work as full time in US. This way every student makes around $4000-5000 a month and pay just $2700 for 6 month(per semester). Students at TVU could maintain F-1 status without attending any classes physically or on-line. Many F-1 students when they finish their OPT, they join TVU again and continue their CPT and work at US full time (illegally). Due to 17-month OPT extension, many H4 convert into F1 at TVU and get a fraudulent degree from TVU. Those H4 to F1 converters work full time now and hope use TVU's degree to work under OPT and OPT extension later. Many TVU students, especially those in the so called doctorate programs, maintain their F-1 status at TVU but work out of California full time for up to five years. | ||
