Raja Sir in Shah Rukh Khan movie Is the Bollywood Badshah ready with his reply to Super Starâs âRoboâ? The first look of Shah Rukh Khanâs most ambitious project âRa.Oneâ is out. It is interesting to recall the genesis of âEndhiran â to know Shah Rukh Khanâs âRa.Oneâ better. You all knew director Shankar first went to SRK with the âEndhiran â concept and when he fell out with SRK over âcreative differencesâ in filming the sci-fi flick, our Super Star stepped in and saved the project. âWhat âEndhiran â did to Indian cinema is now folklore. At that time Shah Rukh Khan had announced a similar project and that has taken shape now and ready to hit the marquee this year. Shah Rukh Khan, Kareena Kapoor and Arjun Rampal play the central characters in the film. Ra.One means âRandom Access - Version 1.0â. Much like the âEndhiran â, SRKâs 'Ra.One' is also about Robots behaving like humans and has "breathtaking" visual effects. 'Ra.One' is also about good versus evil. According to sources, Shah Rukh will be seen in a double role in the film. One of his characters is that of a scientist who creates two robots - the good robot G.One (SRK) and the bad one Ra.One (Arjun Rampal). When âEndhiran â released last year, the entire Indian film industry was in awe and the Bollywood started talking about âRa.Oneâ. Directed by Anubhav Sinha, âRa.Oneâ has music by Vishal and Shekhar along with music maestro Ilaiyaraja. Now that âEndhiranâ has spawned the first clone, will it behave better than âEndhiranâ? Shah Rukh Khan has produced the film himself under his home banner Red Chillies Entertainment, âRa.Oneâ is marked as Diwali release. âEndhiranâ or âRa.Oneâ? Rajinikant or Shah Rukh Khan? Canât wait till Diwali. Playback singer Sukhwinder Singh has recorded a song to be lip-synched by Shah Rukh Khan in Ra.One. This is Singhâs third song for Khan in 13 years. Chaiyya chaiyya (Dil Se..) and Haule haule (Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi) were chartbusters. With my experience as a playback singer for the last 15-16 years, I know that this song, like the previous two, matches Shah Rukhâs personality and might become synonymous with Ra.One,â asserts Singh. The song has been composed by South stalwart Ilayaraja. âItâs the first time in my career that I recorded a song for nine hours, non-stop. The song is worth our effort because it sounds fresh and different from the work Iâve done lately. Itâs quite subdued,â Singh adds. Sukhwinder SinghSporting encounter Singh also recorded the title track for Chak De! India, which featured Shah Rukh Khan but he didnât lip-sync it. The playback singer is not disappointed. âThe song was filmed in such a way that it still had Shah Rukhâs energy and the enthusiasm of the girls in the hockey team. It was their anthem. Had it been picturised only on Shah Rukh, it wouldnât have translated well on screen and the country-wide impact the song made would have been lost,â explains Singh. So, which South stalwart does he prefer: Oscar-winner AR Rahman or Ilayaraja? Singh answers diplomatically, âItâs unfair to compare their style of working or their compositions. Iâve worked closely with Rahman and he hasnât changed as a person and professional.
