http://deshgujarat.com/2011/01/28/gujarat-to-set-up-sant-nag ari-with-replicas-of-2700-saints/

Chief Minister Narendra Modi today expressed his firm resolve to set up a Sant Nagari on the soil of Gujarat with replicas of 2,700 saints, belonging to different sects and traditions, India has produced over thousands of years.

Inaugurating a Gyaneshwari Gita Hindi Week at Dwarka, Mr. Modi said he had dreamt of such a centre of pilgrimage for long, to preserve, promote and tell the world about India’s high tradition of ‘Live and Let Live’. Rather, he went step ahead to add ‘Help Others Live’.

Mr. Modi said the Indian tradition is a strange confluence of jnana, bhakti and karma (wisdom, faith and duty), which manifested itself with quest for truth and virtues to show the righteous path to the world. He said that Gita is the only scripture in the world, which is composed on the battlefield and yet shows the path to salvation and explains the meanings of life.

The programme has been arranged in collaboration with the Balyogi Sadanand Maharaj Ashram on the Tungareshwar hills in the Thane district, to popularize the Gyaneshawri Gita, originally written in Marathi, in the national language of Hindi.

Prominent among those who spoke on the occasion included commentator Ramesh Oza, Govind Devgiri Maharaj of Pune and Ramrao Maharaj of Jalgaon.

Others present included Dwarkadheesh temple management committee vice-chairman Parimal Nathwani, legislators Yogesh Sagar of Mumbai and Pabubha Manek of Dwarka, Nagarpalika president Bhavnabenm Pune-based Vishwa Shanti Kendra president Vishwanath Karad, Dakor’s Mahamandelshwar Gomtidasji, Shardapithe representative Narayanand Brahmachari and Dwarka Hindi Samiti president Rameshwar Shastri
