100% wrong. Bonus pay out appudu they WITH HOLD tax at higher percentage rate. BUT at the year end when you file tax, your bonus will be added to your total annual income and then appropriate tax bracket will be applied. You don't have to claim it back exclusively. You will get it back automatically if your regular pay check with holding is at correct rate. | ||

Sir na question ardam ainda? say YTD till now earnings: 100$ and tax dedcuted YTD 25$ (Assume 25% is my tax bracket) Assume I got bonus 50$ now, but company deducted 20$(38%) as tax ((Assume 25% is my tax bracket even though I add bonus to earnings) NOW YTD Earnings: 150$, Tax TYD: 45$ yr End lo when I file tax, will I get 8$ back? | ||

In pay stub says ur YTD earnings are X amount and taxes are y amount By end of the yr, I will be getting W2 saying you are earnings are X and taxes are Y amount and when u file for tax, u get the excess amount u paid for taxes, Isnt it? Mclovin, nuv muy....venki okka pandi | ||

I don't think you can claim back.. Companies prefer giving bonus, because I was told that it is easier on their books when they do Accounting ..not sure how though.. Manaki matram bokka..because for the bonus component..we pay higher taxes.. | ||
